I welcome you to the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is where specialized form of care is given to women and pregnant women. It comprises Antenatal clinic, Antenatal ward, Labour ward, Postnatal ward, Gynae ward, Family planning clinic and Cervical cancer screening clinic. 

We provide qualitative Residency training programmes to our Resident Doctors. We also train Medical students well to the best of our knowledge and ability with the limited resources available. We provide specialized form of care to our patients with respect.

Our goals are to improve the department in terms of service delivery, research and academically. We are also working towards putting the institution on the world map.

Currently, a WHO research on Antenatal Corticosteroids for Improving Outcomes in Preterm Newborns (ACTION TRIAL III) is ongoing in the department.
